The Greatest Failed American Automakers

Detroit’s “Big Three” (along with their sister brands) are all that remain of the many hopeful American automakers of yesterday. Some companies were able to make a splash with innovative designs or technology, while many others never really took off. Regardless, most of those brands eventually either failed or merged with another automaker.
